Mikoku-yu

A bathhouse in Ishiwara, Sumida Ward, offering natural black hot-spring water (kuroyu) with views of the Tokyo Skytree, reopened in May 2015. Among its eight tubs are high-, medium-, and low-temperature onsen baths, a daily-rotating medicated bath, and a massage bath, along with an outdoor bath, a cold-water bath, and a Mt. Fuji-style painted wall (penki-e). It also pioneered a welfare-oriented family bath in central Tokyo for people who need care or assistance.
