Kogane-yu

A renovated bathhouse in Taihei, Sumida Ward, about a 6-minute walk from Kinshicho Station, reopened in August 2020. Its tubs include a hot bath, a medium-temperature medicated bath, a low-temperature carbonated bath, and a cold-water bath. The men's side has an auto-loyly sauna built from bansho stone and hiba wood with its own deep cold bath and an open-air cooldown space, while the women's side has a self-loyly sauna of domestic hinoki. A scroll-style mural by illustrator Yoriko Hoshi lines the bath wall, and the entrance bandai bar pours craft beer with a DJ booth.
