Chikushino Onsen Amandi

This is a big day-use bathhouse rather than an inn, built around two separate bath wings, one Japanese-style and one Bali-style, that swap between the men's and women's sides on a rotation. Each side has an open-air area with a wide rock bath and a few smaller carved wooden tubs, plus an indoor hall with a regular tub, jet bath and electric bath, a sauna and a cold bath. The water is a mild alkaline spring, gentle rather than mineral-heavy. There is also a private family bath, booked only once you arrive, and paid ganbanyoku (stone-bed sauna) on top of the regular admission.
