Kutsurogi no Yado Hanagasa Kogenso

A modest inn in the hills of Obanazawa. The big communal bath has a window onto the mountains, and on clear days Mount Chokai can be seen from it. The draw is the yakuto (薬湯), a brown herbal bath brewed from Chinese-medicine ingredients, next to an ordinary clear bath. Visitors say the herbal water is strong and can tingle on the skin, so a short soak suits it. Day visitors can use the bath too, and it is quiet out here.
