Mura Yu (むら湯) is the day-use bathhouse beside the Tokinosato Yurari inn in Tadami. It has indoor baths only, separate for men and women, with a large window that looks out over the Aizu mountains and the river, and snow in winter. The water is reddish and iron-tinted, runs fresh from the source (kakenagashi), and is on the hot side, so most people don't soak long. Shampoo and body soap are provided. It feels like a mountain hut: you take your shoes off at the entrance, and afterwards there is a big hall that doubles as a canteen serving ramen and the like. Locals drop in on weekdays, so it can be quiet in the daytime.
