Aquare Nagaoka is a leisure complex that combines onsen baths with a pool, a gym and a small inn. The onsen side has a large indoor bath, a lying-down bath, an open-air bath, a sauna and a cold plunge, with the men's and women's sides kept separate. The pool zone is swimsuit-only and mixed, and includes a Finnish sauna and a lukewarm bath. Day visitors (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) can use just the onsen or take the full course with the pool and gym. There is a restaurant on site, and towels can be rented. Tattoos, including stickers, are not allowed. It feels more like a family wellness center than a quiet hot-spring inn.
