AoAwo Naruto Resort is a large beachfront hotel above the Naruto Strait. Both of its onsen baths draw from the same source, Naruto Onsen (鳴門温泉), and the water is salty on the skin. There's a stone-built open-air bath on the first floor, facing the sea, and a view bath with a sauna on the eighth floor. The first-floor bath swaps its men's and women's sides through the day. On a clear night the moon rises straight over the water into what locals call the Naruto Moon Road (鳴門ムーンロード), visible from the rooms and from the open-air bath. It's built as a family resort, with a beach, an outdoor pool and restaurants ranging from Awa regional cooking to French cuisine. Day use here is sold only as a reserved lunch-and-onsen package, not a bathing-only visit.
