THE FUJIYA HOTEL is a Western-style resort hotel in Miyanoshita, Hakone, built in 1878 and now a nationally registered cultural property. All 120 guest rooms have their own bath fed by the Miyanoshita hot spring, and there is a large indoor communal bath, its tub facing the mountains that ring the Hakone caldera. Day visitors can book a bath-and-lunch package at the hotel's Kikkaso annex, a former imperial villa, with a private hinoki bath and a private-room lunch.
