YesThe whole facility, including day-use bathing, closes for maintenance from 11:00 on December 14 to 14:00 on December 17, 2026. The third-floor open-air bath is also closed for renovation from October 1 through the end of December 2026 (the indoor bath stays open as usual).
Adult day-use bathing is 1,600 yen, elementary-school children 800 yen, and one preschooler is free per paying adult. A wash towel is lent free at the changing room; a bath towel rental is 330 yen. Not available during scheduled closures.

Hotel Ofutei sits above the harbor in Tomonoura, an old port town in Fukuyama. Its baths draw on a smooth, faintly alkaline mineral spring, with an indoor bath and an open-air bath on the third floor, plus a rooftop bath reserved for overnight guests. The men's and women's baths swap each morning, and each side has its own sauna, one a loyu sauna where water is poured over hot stones and the other a steam sauna. Day-use bathing is open to visitors too, not just guests staying the night.
