About
Echigoya is a small ryokan in Kakuma onsen, housed in a wooden building that dates to the Meiji era. It only takes three groups of guests at a time, so the inn stays quiet, and all three of its indoor baths are private, each locked from inside for one party at a time rather than shared with other guests. The spring water is naturally very hot, brought down to a comfortable temperature for bathing, and stays clear with a smooth feel on the skin. Because the baths are private and unhurried, day-use guests can book one for a soak just as overnight guests do.
