Tabino Hotel Sado is a modern business hotel near the middle of Sado Island. Its ground-floor bath, Sado Megumi-no-yu (佐渡めぐみの湯), is split into separate men's and women's sides and uses deep-sea mineral water pumped up from about 332 meters off the coast rather than natural onsen water. The hotel promotes it more for leaving skin smooth than for heat, and guests tend to describe it as clean and comfortable rather than dramatic. Rooms are compact, simple and recently renovated, and the hotel works well as a straightforward base for getting around Sado by car, with a restaurant and free parking on site.
