A tiny converted-house kosen bath among fields in Iwaki
Walk-in bathing is 500 yen.
Shared bathing area for all genders
Kawabe Kosen is a small day-use bath in a house that looks converted from a home, sitting among fields and rice paddies in Iwaki. There is one little tub, big enough for about three people at a squeeze, and two washing stations. Only one bath is run, so men and women take turns. The water is clear and colorless, and reviewers call it smooth to the touch. It is a quiet, local kind of place rather than a resort.
