Karou no Yu is a small inn at the foot of Mount Karo (鹿狼山, Karousan) that opened in the Meiji era. Day-use bathers are mostly hikers, walkers and cyclists stopping in after a trip. The men's and women's baths each have an indoor bath, an open-air bath and a sauna with a cold plunge. From the open-air bath you look out over the Pacific. There is also a soba restaurant, Donguri (どんぐり), that is open to visitors who only come to eat.
