The footbath is open 24 hours. The shop closes on the last day of each month (the next weekday if that falls on a weekend or holiday), around New Year (varies), and occasionally at short notice.
About
Chigura (ちぐら) is the shop and local exchange facility at the Sekikawa roadside station (道の駅関川) in Niigata, with light snacks at the storefront. Next to it is a footbath that can be used around the clock, a handy stop for tired feet on a drive. The full onsen bath is at the neighbouring Yu-mu (ゆ〜む), a separate facility.
