About
Hiraizumi Hotel Musashibo has indoor-only bathing, split between a rock bath fed by the hot spring and a view bath that looks out over the town, with early morning sun coming through the windows. The water is soft enough to soak in for a long while. It's an old-fashioned hotel with a Showa-era (昭和) feel, within walking distance of Chuson-ji and Motsu-ji, two of Hiraizumi's UNESCO World Heritage temples. Rooms are plain and the building shows its age, but staff are attentive and meals lean home-style.
