Hiuchi Goya (燧小屋) is a mountain hut in the Miharashi area at the foot of Oze-ga-hara, a base for walks around Oze and for climbing Mount Hiuchigatake. It has a men's bath and a women's bath, which sometimes swap by day. Only the body soap provided may be used, and there are no towels, so bring your own. Meals are cooked by the proprietress, with mountain vegetables and maitake rice among the staples. Rooms are mostly private, there is a lounge that doubles as a drying room, and the hut runs only in the warm season. Guests describe it as comfortable and quiet, set at the back of Miharashi.
