Kinseikan is a small inn in Hijiori onsen (肘折温泉) that draws on one of the town's three springs, the Kogane (黄金) source. The water is kept flowing fresh (kakenagashi, 源泉かけ流し). Men's and women's baths are separate, each with an indoor bath and an open-air bath, which is a rare thing among Hijiori's inns. Day-use bathing (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) is open to non-guests. The inn is old and simple, with 18 rooms and few extras. Room-only guests and day visitors must bring their own bath towels, and dinner is for overnight guests only. People come mainly for the water.
