Tate-no-yu

A small, family-run inn in Yunokami with an indoor bath and an open-air bath, both split into men's and women's sides. The indoor bath runs hot and fits only a few people. The open-air bath is lukewarm and roomier, with a roof over it so rain doesn't stop you. Guests say the water feels silky and leaves the skin smooth. Standing up in the open-air bath, you can be seen from the road. Day visitors are taken, and overnight guests talk about the big dinners with fresh tempura and grilled iwana (char). The building is an old minshuku-style inn, a bit worn and compact, but kept clean.
