Day Use
YesDay-use bathing is also suspended on several scheduled maintenance dates through early 2027, and closed all day from December 26 through January 6 for the New Year holiday. It's worth checking ahead during busy travel seasons.
Adults (junior-high age and up) pay 1,500 yen, children (age 3 and up) pay 800 yen, tax included. Last entry is 13:30 for the daytime session and 20:00 for the evening session, and there's no advance reservation. A face towel is included; a bath towel can be rented for 200 yen.

Shokichi is a ryokan on the coast at Misaki in Ako, with onsen water in both an indoor bath and an open-air bath facing the Seto Inland Sea. The open-air bath, called Soukai-no-yu (蒼海の湯), was made by joining what used to be two separate bathing wings into one bath looking out over the water, and there is also a sauna. A private open-air bath exists too, but it is reserved for overnight guests, not day visitors.
