About
Yamaguchi Onsen is a communal bathhouse on Iki Island (壱岐島, Ikishima) in Nagasaki. The main bath has two side-by-side tubs, one kept hot and one lukewarm, filled with the island's own spring water. The water comes up undiluted and runs a reddish-brown, noticeably salty to the taste. A separate building holds three private family bath rooms, available by reservation. The place also appears on the Kyushu Eighty-Eight Onsen (九州八十八湯めぐり, Kyushu Hachijuhachi-yu Meguri) circuit.
