Ikijimaso is a kokuminshukusha, a public lodge, in Katsumoto on Iki Island, with a bathing hall looking out over Yunomoto Bay. The natural hot spring water runs reddish from iron and salt and is kept flowing fresh, split between a cooler tub and a hotter one. Day bathing is open to non-guests, and the lodge's seafood-centered restaurant serves day visitors too, in a plain, unpretentious atmosphere.
