Weekday bathing is 750 yen for city residents and 800 yen for others; on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays it's 1,050 or 1,100 yen. Children (elementary school age and under) pay 400 or 500 yen, and preschoolers bathe free. A discounted evening rate applies from 16:00, and on the 26th of each month that evening rate applies all day.

This is a municipally run bathing center outside Hitachiota, with an indoor bath, a rotenburo facing the surrounding hills, and a sauna (there's no cold plunge, just a hand shower). The water is alkaline and smooth on the skin. A tatami rest area and a dining hall round it out, useful if you want to linger after bathing rather than just pass through.
