Yufore is a prefectural health centre rather than a classic inn, with an onsen bath, an open-air bath, jet baths, a sauna, a bedrock bath (Ganbanyoku, 岩盤浴), a warm-water pool and a gym under one roof. The baths are fairly roomy and easygoing, and reviewers describe the water as mild and on the cooler side rather than showy. It also has rooms, a restaurant and a large tatami rest room, so it works for a stay or for a day-use visit. It sits up in the hills above Akita city, in a quiet setting where wild animals sometimes wander past. Tattoos are not allowed. Reviewers in mid-2026 mention that the centre is due to close at the end of fiscal 2026, so check before you go.
