A quiet inn in Kawachinagano, about half an hour out of central Osaka, which bills its water as Osaka's hidden bath (kakureyu, 隠れ湯). The Nagano spring (Nagano Onsen, 長野温泉) is said to go back to the time of Empress Suiko, and from the late Meiji years into early Showa the site ran as Gokurakuji Onsen (極楽寺温泉) and drew writers of the day. The water is clear and odorless, a sodium and magnesium chloride bicarbonate spring that comes up cold and gets heated; it holds its warmth for a long while afterwards and leaves the skin smooth. The open-air bath is wide open to the sky, and there is an indoor bath and a sauna on both the men's and women's sides.

Kawachi Nagano-so Kawachi Nagano-so Visited for a higaeri. Only the set with lunch, there are different plans, the main one is ¥1 945 for a simple but tasty lunch and onsen. The water feels pleasant, but fairly ordinary, 41 degrees. In the indoor bath there were hinoki shavings floating, it smells nice. In the outdoor bath there was black charcoal in the water. The indoor bath and rotenburo have no view. Counts toward the Kisen achievement.
