Aioso sat on the coast at Aiho in Yamaguchi, with a natural hot-spring open-air bath looking out over Suo Bay; on clear days the inn's terrace looked across the water as far as Mount Yufu and the Kunisaki Peninsula in Oita. An indoor view bath and a dry sauna rounded out the bathing, and the men's and women's sides swapped baths daily. The ryokan closed permanently at the end of August 2026.
