石抱温泉
A wild riverside open-air bath in Okura village, Yamagata
Ishidaki Onsen (石抱温泉) is a wild bath in Okura village, Yamagata: a single rock open-air bath by the river, a short way south of Hijiori. There is no staff on site, and it is tied to the Ebisuya (ゑびす屋) inn in town, where access is arranged. The name is said to come from holding a stone to stay under the water. The bath is closed in winter, and a recent report says the road in was blocked by construction machinery, so check with the inn or the village before going.
