Matsunoyama Jiro Footbath

Yumori-dokoro Jiro (湯守処 地炉) is a rest stop in Matsunoyama onsen town built around a footbath and a face bath. Visitors say the water runs quite hot, so go in carefully. Reviewers mention watching the river and hearing a waterfall from the footbath. The building is an old farmhouse, about a century old, that was moved here. It is mostly open on weekend daytimes, when you can look inside, and there is a reservation-only baguette baking class that uses the hot spring. It is closed irregularly and shuts down in winter.
