Fumizonoyu is a day-use bathhouse inside a shopping complex in Kushiro, with an indoor bath and a hinoki (cypress) open-air bath filled with natural onsen water, plus jet baths, an infrared sauna and a cold plunge; the women's side adds a mist sauna. The water runs clear and colorless with a faint saltiness, the kind that leaves skin smooth and keeps you warm well after you're out. It draws mostly regulars from the neighborhood rather than tourists, a plain local bathhouse rather than a resort spa.
