Gensentei Yuguchiya is an old ryokan at the far end of a small hamlet in Iwase Yumoto onsen. Its thatched roof and worn wooden corridors give it the feel of a place time passed by (the inn has appeared in the work of manga artist Tsuge Yoshiharu, and the area around it still looks much as it did then). The indoor bath is one room each for men and women, no rotenburo. Meals are cooked over an irori hearth in the dining hall, with river fish grilled over the coals.
