Kinunoyu is a large day-use hot-spring complex in Ibaraki, with source water kept flowing fresh through its baths. There are four named outdoor baths, including a carbonated one, and several indoor baths: an electric bath, a jet bath and a walking bath meant for gentle exercise. The baths are kept a touch cooler than usual on purpose, so a long soak doesn't strain the heart. Three dry saunas run at different heat levels, from a large stadium-style room down to a low-heat meditation sauna and a salt sauna, with a cold well-water bath on hand for cooling off between rounds. The building used to take overnight guests, but lodging ended in 2013 and it now runs day-use only. Its private family baths are still bookable for the day, with meals served in the room, alongside a sit-down restaurant and a lounge with recliners.
