A sodium-led bicarbonate spring — the classic juso-sen (soda-water) style. Bicarbonate dominates at 2,093 mg/kg, far ahead of every other ion, and the mildly alkaline water is soft and faintly slippery on the skin: this sits squarely in Japan's beauty-water family, as the source name Bijin no Yu Shirotori ("beauty spring") announces. Dissolved solids reach 3,119 mg/kg — moderately mineralized, with noticeable body to the water.

838. Kamiho no Yu, Gujo, Gifu ★ A super sento with onsen water, ¥850 on weekdays and ¥950 on weekends. Opening hours are listed as 10:00 to 21:30 (except Monday). There is a private bath (didn't use it). There is a diner, a shop, a rest area, massage, and a gym. They had the stamp for Goyuin Meguri Gifu 2025-2026. They had the stamp for Yuran 2026. The bath photos are from the internet, and they match. About the baths. The water in all the baths is clear, with a slight chlorine smell. 1. Outdoor area. No view. 1.1. Carbonated bath. Temperature 38. 1.2. Outdoor stone bath under a roof. Temperature 40. 1.3. Large wooden barrel. Temperature 41.5. 1.4. Small wooden barrel. 1.5. Three plastic barrels. 2. Indoor area. It is fine to breathe inside. 2.1. Main bath. Temperature 42. 2.2. Event bath, herbal, with a strong smell of some plant. Temperature 39. 2.3. Sauna. 2.4. Cold bath.
