About

A small riverside inn tucked in a gorge along the Osaru River, with a stone-rimmed mixed outdoor bath (konyoku rotenburo, 混浴露天風呂) right at the water's edge. The spring is alkaline simple onsen water (pH 8.2) flowing straight from the Tarusudake source at 93°C, tempered without tap water, silky and gentle on the skin. Being this close to the stream, with untouched mountain forest on all sides, gives the whole soak a genuinely wild feeling.
