Hotel Mumon is a small hotel at the edge of Akakura onsen in Myoko, open since 1971. It has separate men's and women's baths filled with kakenagashi (源泉かけ流し) spring water, and guests can bathe around the clock. The water is on the gentle side, with small flakes settling in the tub. The restaurant is known for its beef stew, and the place feels closer to a pension than a big ryokan. It gets busiest in ski season.
