Lotos Inn is a plain onsen inn in Nishiaizu, Fukushima, that also takes day-use bathers (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴). Each side has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a cold plunge and a utaseyu (打たせ湯), a bath where water falls onto your shoulders. The water is clear and noticeably salty, which surprises people this far from the sea. The men's and women's baths swap every day, so you may get a different layout from one visit to the next. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryers are provided, and towels are sold at the front desk. The building is not new but has been refurbished and kept clean, and it feels like a local bath: visitors range from children to older people. There is also a dining room, and cottages and a campground on the grounds.
