About
Yamamura Bekkan is a ryokan in Nagato Yumoto, a riverside onsen town in Yamaguchi. It has an indoor bath, a renovated open-air bath, a barrel sauna, a cold plunge and a private (kashikiri, 貸切) bath for guests who want the water to themselves. The water is a touch slippery and leaves skin feeling smooth. A kawarasoba (瓦そば) restaurant on the ground floor serves both overnight guests and day visitors. Staff come out to the parking lot to help with luggage, and reviewers describe an old, unhurried building with a Showa-era feel. Kids are welcome, though the shared bath has no infant tub, so families with a baby use the bath in their own room instead.
