Gyokusenkaku

Gyokusenkaku is a ryokan in the Nagato Yumoto onsen town, with separate baths for men and women that swap each morning. The men's bath has a large tub, an open-air bath and a jacuzzi. The women's bath adds a hammock and a jacuzzi, plus a bath styled after Yang Guifei (楊貴妃), the legendary Chinese consort, which becomes the men's bath for a few hours each morning. The baths use 100% source water, recirculated and filtered. Guest room baths run on heated tap water rather than onsen, and the inn has no private or family bath. Some rooms look out on the river beside the property or the forested hill behind it.
