Ryokan Otozure

Otozure is the adults-only annex of Otani Sanso, a bigger ryokan next door in the forest above Nagato Yumoto onsen. It has 18 rooms, each with its own open-air bath fed by source water kept flowing, looking out on the forest and, at night, a sky full of stars. There is also a communal bath, separate for men and women, with water that feels soft and gentle on the skin, plus a stone-bed sauna in the spa wing. Guests under 13 aren't admitted, and while everything at Otozure is kept private and separate, its guests can also use Otani Sanso's shared facilities next door.
