A weakly alkaline simple thermal spring. The wellhead temperature reaches a hot 56 °C, yet the water itself is lightly mineralized and gentle on the skin — a soft, easy soak rather than a chemistry-forward one.

Steam SaunaMost of the suites here have their own bath, a rock or boulder open-air tub, a stone tub, a hinoki tub, or an infinity-style tub, filled with the property's mildly alkaline hot-spring water. There are also two large communal baths that swap between the men's and women's sides each morning at 3am, one with a dry sauna, the other with a steam sauna. Gora Kadan Fuji opened in 2025 as the second ryokan from the Gora Kadan brand, whose original property in Hakone dates to 1948. It sits at the foot of Mt Fuji with the summit visible due west, and every room is suite-style with tall ceilings and traditional Japanese design touches. KADAN SPA runs its own treatments around groundwater drawn from Fuji's slopes and a native citrus called tachibana (橘), including a private bathing room, alongside an indoor pool and gym.
