Toba Grand Hotel

This hotel sits right on Toba Bay, and the bathing floor is built around that view. The open-air bath, called Kaifu (海風), looks straight out over the water, and the gender-split indoor baths, Sokai (蒼海) for men and Aoshio (青潮) for women, take in the view through their windows. There is also a cold plunge. A separate open-air bath, screened by a bamboo fence, can be reserved in advance for a private soak with the same view. It is set up as a full resort stay, with a buffet dining room and a lobby that opens onto the bay.
