Auberge Tosayama is a small hotel and restaurant in the mountains of Kochi city's Tosayama district, built on a natural hot spring. The men's and women's baths each have an indoor tub, an open-air bath, and a sauna, and day-use bathing is open to outside visitors as well as overnight guests. Rooms and villas sit along a river, with some villas reached by a suspension bridge. None of the rooms have a television, so evenings run on the sound of the current and insects instead. Dinner, for overnight guests only, draws on local Kochi ingredients such as bonito and mountain vegetables.
