Day Use
YesLast admission is 20:30, thirty minutes before closing. On nights with many overnight guests, day-use bathing sometimes ends as early as 15:00 instead of 21:00.
The 1200 yen adult rate is for junior-high age and up. Elementary-age children pay 600 yen, ages 3 to 5 pay 350 yen, and under 3 bathe free. Face towels can be bought for 220 yen and bath towels rented for 100 yen.

The open-air bath is rock-built right at the treeline, so you're soaking with the forest right in front of you and birds calling overhead. The indoor bath has two tubs at different temperatures, with the same view out over Shirogane's trees. The sauna is birch-themed and uses vihta, the bundle of dried birch branches also used in Finland, and there's an outdoor spot to cool down afterward. The water itself runs faintly cloudy. Mori no Shizuku RIN, formerly the Daisetsuzan Shirogane Kanko Hotel, sits in Shirogane Onsen at the foot of the Daisetsuzan range, and the lobby and common areas look out at the peaks through big windows.
