YesClosed Mondays, though it stays open if Monday is a public holiday (closing a different weekday instead), and closed the day after a public holiday too, although when a Saturday or Sunday is itself a holiday, the following day stays open. Also closed December 28 through January 4, with occasional extra closures possible.
200 yen for Kawanehon town residents, 400 yen for visitors from outside town. Free for children under elementary-school age.

About
A single indoor tub is the whole bath here, big enough for about three people at a time, filled with real hot-spring water from Senzu Onsen. The town built it as a welfare facility for residents' health and to bring neighbors together, and it still works that way: locals soak side by side and take turns when it gets busy. Visitors from outside Kawanehon are welcome too, for a bit more than the resident rate, and get free shampoo, body soap, a hair dryer and a fan, plus a small rest area to sit in afterward.
