About

A ryokan in the Takahata countryside with a large indoor bath and an open-air bath (rotenburo). The bubble bath and the cypress bath swap between men and women every day, so over two days you get both. The water is clear and mild, with a faint egg-like smell, and the baths run on the gentle side of warm. Free parking, and day visitors are welcome year round, winter included. Reviewers describe a quiet, local feel, with the building standing among rice paddies and vineyards.
