Hiroshima Kita Hotel runs two indoor baths that swap between the men's and women's sides, kept flowing fresh from the source. One, Budda-no-yu (仏陀の湯), is fitted out with fixtures and doors salvaged from an old farmhouse; the other, Ryujin-no-yu (龍神の湯), is a lactic-acid soak billed as the first of its kind in Japan and popular with women guests. The spring water carries a trace of natural radon. A sauna with a television and a cold plunge round out the bathing, and the women's side alone has an open-air bath and a rock-bed sauna. The hotel itself is an older roadside stop in the hills of Kitahiroshima that allows guests to stay with their pets.
