飯坂温泉 なかや旅館
Small Iizaka ryokan fed by the same spring as Sakkoyu
Uses natural hot spring water
Enclosed indoor bathing area
Shared bathing area for all genders
Shower, wash stations, soap and shampoo provided
Nakaya Ryokan has one indoor bath for men and one for women, filled with the same spring water as the Sakkoyu bathhouse (鯖湖湯, Sakkoyu) nearby and left flowing fresh (kakenagashi, 掛け流し). There are two shower stations in the washing area, with body soap and shampoo. The inn started in 1893 as a toji (湯治) lodging for travelers heading to Sakkoyu, and it still feels like a small, quiet, unfussy place to stay.
