Yuyu no Yado Yuzawaya

A historic hot-spring inn in the countryside of Mogami, with plain tatami rooms looking out over the river or the nearby mountains. Bathing is in a separate annex building, where two indoor baths, the larger Basho-no-yu and the smaller Rindo-no-yu, alternate between men and women on a schedule. There is no open-air bath, but guests who come back for the water itself describe it as comfortably warm and pleasant on the skin.
