Akakura Onsen Izumiso

Izumiso is a small ryokan in Akakura Onsen with a modest indoor bath, one side for men and one for women, fed by the inn's own hot-spring source. The water is clear and nearly scentless but leaves you thoroughly warmed, and a crust of mineral deposits builds up around the spout, a sign of just how mineral-rich it is. The inn is plain and quiet, run almost single-handedly by its owner, and popular with solo travelers who come as much for the home-cooked meals as for the bath. Rooms upstairs look out toward Mount Omori and the Mogami-Oguni River.
