A ryokan at Bankei Onsen with two indoor tubs, one hot and one milder, and an open-air bath right beside the river. The water is clear with a faint sulfur smell, easy on tired legs and the lower back, and leaves skin feeling smooth. Day bathers are welcome alongside overnight guests. The inn keeps a rock garden and its own restaurant, and the rooms are clean and quiet, with friendly staff.
