About
Odaira Sanso (大平山荘) is a publicly run mountain lodge at about 1,000 m on the Chokai Blue Line. It has a large panoramic bath (展望大浴場) with separate baths for men and women, a dining hall, a shop and parking. Day-use bathing (higaeri nyuyoku, 日帰り入浴) has been offered alongside overnight stays. The lodge has suspended all operations for the 2026 season because of equipment trouble, and no reopening is announced, so check with them before heading up.
