About

Yamanoyu Kazuyo is a small, unpretentious ryokan at Nagayu Onsen. The men's and women's sides each have an indoor bath and a compact outdoor one, filled with cloudy spring water piped straight from the source and kept flowing rather than recirculated. The indoor tub runs hot, the outdoor one noticeably milder, so it's easy to move between the two through the seasons. Around the taps, mineral buildup has crusted into small dome-like shapes, a quirk regular visitors come back to see. There's a lounge area by the baths to cool off in, and day-use bathing is offered alongside overnight stays.
